IR Photography images of Proba-3 performing the calibration of the laser metrology of the spacecraft at the Redwire facilities in Kruibeke, Belgium on 7 February 2024. The pair are currently facing each other across a cleanroom belonging to Redwire Space (formerly QinetiQ Space) in Kruibeke, Belgium, in the same configuration they will adopt in orbit. Scheduled for launch together this September, the Proba-3 pair will fly in orbit relative to one another down to millimetre scale precision. This will allow one to cast a precisely controlled shadow onto the other, in the process eclipsing the fiery disc of the Sun to reveal its faint surrounding corona for sustained observations.
